Terms of Service
Last updated: 19 July 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the QuickTane website, API, dashboard, and code-execution sandbox services (collectively, the "Service") operated by QuickTane ("QuickTane", "we", "us"). By creating an account, generating an API key, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. The Service
QuickTane provides on-demand execution of code in isolated, ephemeral sandboxes (one-shot runs and persistent sessions) running on our infrastructure, together with related APIs, SDKs, and a management dashboard. Features, limits, and pricing may change over time.
2. Eligibility & accounts
- You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract.
- You are responsible for all activity under your account and API keys, and for keeping your credentials secret. API keys are shown once and stored only as a hash — treat them like passwords.
- Accounts belong to a team; the team owner is responsible for members' use.
- You must provide accurate information and keep it current.
3. Acceptable use
The Service executes code you submit. You are solely responsible for that code and its effects. You must not use the Service to:
- run code that is illegal, infringes others' rights, or violates any applicable law;
- attack, probe, scan, disrupt, or gain unauthorised access to any system or network (including ours, other tenants', or third parties');
- send spam, phishing, or malware, or operate a botnet or command-and-control channel;
- mine cryptocurrency or run other abusive, resource-exhaustion, or denial-of-service workloads;
- attempt to break out of the sandbox, escalate privileges, bypass network egress controls, or interfere with the isolation, security, or availability of the Service;
- process personal data of others unlawfully, or content you have no right to process;
- resell or expose the Service to end users in a way that circumvents these Terms or our limits.
We operate automated abuse detection and a kill-switch. We may throttle, suspend, or terminate accounts, and delete workloads, that we reasonably believe violate this section or threaten the Service, with or without notice.
4. Your code & content
You retain all rights to the code, inputs, and outputs you submit to or generate with the Service ("Your Content"). You grant us a limited licence to host, transmit, and process Your Content only as necessary to operate and provide the Service (for example, to run it in a sandbox and return results). Sandboxes are ephemeral; we do not use Your Content to train models or for advertising. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle data.
5. Fees, billing & credits
- Paid plans are billed through our payment processor (Stripe). By subscribing you authorise recurring charges (e.g. the monthly Pro fee) plus metered, per-second compute usage.
- The Free tier includes one-time usage credits; once exhausted, further runs are blocked until you upgrade.
- Usage is metered per second of allocated vCPU and RAM and reported to your invoice. Metering is measured by our systems and is definitive absent manifest error.
- Fees are exclusive of taxes unless stated. Charges are non-refundable except where required by law.
- You may cancel at any time; access continues until the end of the paid period. We may change pricing on prospective notice.
6. API keys & rate limits
Access via the API is subject to rate limits and plan-based concurrency, timeout, and session limits. We may adjust limits to protect the Service. You must not attempt to circumvent them.
7. Intellectual property
The Service, including its software, design, and documentation, is owned by QuickTane and protected by law. These Terms grant you no rights in the Service except the limited right to use it as permitted here. "QuickTane" and our logo are our marks.
8. Third-party services
The Service relies on and may integrate third parties (e.g. payment processing, email, hosting, analytics). Your use of those may be subject to their terms. We are not responsible for third-party services.
9. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, or that any execution result is accurate or reliable. You are responsible for evaluating the code you run and its outputs.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, QuickTane will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill. Our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of (a) the amounts you paid us in the three (3) months before the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) EUR 100.
11. Indemnification
You will indemnify and hold harmless QuickTane from claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from Your Content, your use of the Service, or your breach of these Terms or applicable law.
12. Suspension & termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, fail to pay, or create risk or legal exposure for us or others. On termination, your right to use the Service ends and running workloads may be destroyed.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be notified via the Service or email. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
14. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the European Union member state in which QuickTane is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and the courts of that jurisdiction have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory consumer protections that apply to you.
